Do I need a Wet-suit or a Tri-suit?
Considering the temperature, wet suit is not required but feel free to use one if you prefer. Tri-suits will certainly come handy, though again, not a strict requirement.
What type of bike do I need?
The bike course is a mixture of trail and road, hence, road bikes are not suitable for the course.
Do you have changing rooms at the race venue?
A changing tent for both men and women will be available in the transition area for those who want to use it.
What is the extent of medical services available at the race?
A First-Aid Unit manned by a first-aider and physiotherapist will be available at the transition area.
Mobile medical support will be available along the route.
Plus a field hospital with the capability to provide treatment for general ailments, injuries and advanced life saving treatment including intubation and electric defibrillator will be set up nearby the transition area
Three medical hospitals in Pokhara will be on standby for receiving and treating more serious cases.
Will there be water stations along the route?
There will be aid stations both on the cycling and running route. Aid stations will only have water and some stations may have biscuits and fruits. The running section where most participants be in at the heat of the day will have electrolytes. For anything additional, please carry/arrange your own.
How do we get to and from the race venue?
A shuttle service for the participants will be operational between Lakeside and Begnas at fixed times to get the participants to and from the race venue. This service is also available for friends and families of the participants for a nominal fee. Please get in touch with FNH for more details.
